Doris Good is a Canadian professional whose career bridges two worlds often seen as opposites: fashion and finance. With a foundation in design and decades of experience in business leadership, she has built a reputation for combining creativity, discipline, and practical intelligence in every field she enters.
Doris began her professional journey in the fashion industry after studying design and garment construction in British Columbia. She worked in apparel manufacturing, product development, sourcing, and operations during a period when Canada’s domestic clothing industry was evolving under the pressures of globalization. Her hands-on experience ranged from the creative side of design to the technical realities of production, costing, supply chains, and retail delivery. She developed a deep understanding of how an idea moves from sketchpad to store shelf—an education in craftsmanship, logistics, and resilience. Those years also gave her firsthand insight into the people who power industry: pattern makers, sewers, cutters, warehouse teams, retailers, and entrepreneurs.
Building on that commercial foundation, Doris later transitioned into accounting and executive finance, where she established a second successful career as a CPA Canada professional. She earned both her CMA/CPA designation and an MBA, bringing a rare operational perspective to finance
Today, Doris is also an author and educator whose work explores ethics, leadership, incentives, and the human side of decision-making. Her uncommon path—from factory floors and fashion showrooms to boardrooms and public finance—gives her a distinctive voice on business, creativity, and integrity.
