Some careers follow a straight path. Mine never did.
I began my career in the Canadian fashion industry, studying garment construction before working in fashion design, manufacturing, product development, sourcing, and operations. During a period of rapid change in Canada's clothing industry, I gained firsthand experience in every stage of bringing an idea from sketchpad to store shelf. Those years gave me a deep appreciation for both the creative process and the people behind every successful product.
That foundation eventually led me into a second career in accounting and executive finance. After earning my CPA designation and MBA, I spent decades helping organizations navigate strategy, governance, and ethical decision-making. Although the industries changed, my fascination remained the same: understanding how people make decisions, how organizations shape our lives, and how values influence outcomes.
My novels are rooted in the real history of business, finance, branding, manufacturing, and commerce. Through fictional characters, I explore ambition, ethics, and the choices that define us. Whether writing corporate mysteries or flash fiction, I hope to entertain while offering readers a deeper appreciation of the people, industries, and events that have shaped our world.
